# Communications

## Purpose

The Communications system enables creditors to generate, deliver, track, and manage CFPB Validation Letters, EcoLetters, and consumer communication campaigns.
Communications is a proactive, creditor-initiated system designed to support consumer engagement, account resolution, and regulatory communication requirements.

## Key Concept

The Communications system operates independently from Account Processing and Negotiations.

## Account Processing

Creates accounts and prepares consumers for engagement.

## Negotiations

Manages offers, counteroffers, disputes, no-pay responses, settlements, and payment plans.

## Communications

Delivers CFPB Validation Letters, EcoLetters, notifications, and communication campaigns to consumers.
