Purpose
Payment Methods shows the creditor’s saved membership billing payment method and supports updates when billing information changes.
How It Should Work
- It should show whether a valid membership billing payment method exists.
- It should allow authorized users to add or replace the billing payment method.
- It should use tokenized provider references instead of raw payment credentials.
- It should support billing recovery when a failed charge requires a new method.
How It Should Not Work
- It should not reveal full card, bank, or token secrets.
- It should not let unauthorized users change billing payment methods.
- It should not attach payment methods to the wrong creditor.
- It should not leave failed billing marked unresolved after a successful retry.
Developer Notes
- This page supports membership renewal, over-limit billing, invoices, and payment retry processing.
- Payment method changes should be auditable.
