The BillPay Wallet is the consumer’s Universal BillPay Wallet for managing payment methods used throughout the EcoPortal.
To address consumer concerns about sharing payment information with creditors, agencies, and law firms, YouNegotiate provides a patent-pending Universal BillPay Wallet that allows consumers to securely manage payment methods while keeping payment credentials separate from participating organizations.
Payment methods are securely tokenized and managed through Basis Theory and are never shared with participating creditors, agencies, law firms, service providers, or merchant processors.
Universal Wallet Rule
With a single BillPay Wallet, consumers may manage payment methods and make payments across:
- Unlimited Accounts
- Unlimited Creditors
- Unlimited Agencies
- Unlimited Law Firms
- Unlimited Service Providers
- Unlimited Merchant Processors
Consumers maintain a single wallet experience regardless of how many participating organizations or payment processors are involved.

Payment Methods
Consumers may store up to three payment methods.

Payment methods stored within the BillPay Wallet may be used for:
- Settlement Payments
- Payment Plan Activation
- Active Payment Plans
- Future Account Resolution Activity
Bulk Payment Method Updates
Consumers may select multiple accounts and update payment methods across those accounts simultaneously.
A single payment method update may be applied to unlimited eligible accounts.
Purpose:
Eliminate the need to update payment methods individually across multiple accounts.
Payment Security Rule
Payment methods are securely tokenized and managed through Basis Theory.
Participating organizations never receive or store consumer payment credentials.
Purpose:
Provide consumer-controlled payment management while maintaining payment privacy and security.
Key Rule
The BillPay Wallet serves as the consumer’s centralized payment method repository across all account resolution activity within the EcoPortal.
Payment methods are controlled by the consumer and are never shared with participating organizations.
Final Developer Rule
The BillPay Wallet enables consumers to securely manage payment methods once and use them across multiple accounts, settlements, and payment plans.
A single BillPay Wallet may be used across unlimited accounts, unlimited participating organizations, and unlimited merchant processors.
