Developer Rule

EcoPortal Access is the process used to create a consumer’s EcoAddress and grant secure access to the EcoPortal. Consumers must complete EcoAddress creation, EcoAddress verification, and OTP verification before access is granted. EcoPortal Access is completed one time during initial registration.

Step 1 — EcoAddress Creation

The consumer creates their EcoAddress by entering:
  • Last Name
  • Date of Birth
  • Last 4 Digits of Social Security Number
These three data elements create the consumer’s EcoAddress. The EcoAddress becomes the consumer’s permanent digital destination within the platform. The EcoAddress is used to match:
  • Digital Offers
  • Notices
  • Agreements
  • Payment Activity
  • Communications
  • Future Account Activity

Step 2 — EcoAddress Verification

Before continuing, the consumer must review and verify the EcoAddress information entered. Display: “Please verify your EcoAddress information before continuing.” Consumer must confirm:
  • Last Name
  • Date of Birth
  • Last 4 SSN Purpose: Ensure the consumer confirms the EcoAddress information before account access is established.

Step 3 — OTP Verification

After EcoAddress verification, the consumer must complete a One-Time Passcode (OTP) verification. Available Methods:
  • Text Message (SMS)
  • Email Consumer selects a preferred verification method. The system sends a one-time verification code. The consumer enters the verification code to continue. Purpose: Provide secure access to the EcoPortal.

Step 4 — Portal Access Authorization

Upon successful OTP verification:
  • Consumer access is approved
  • Secure session is created
  • Consumer is granted access to the EcoPortal At this point the consumer has successfully completed EcoPortal Access. The next step is:

EcoPortal Setup

Key Rule

The EcoAddress consists of:
  • Last Name
  • Date of Birth
  • Last 4 SSN Consumers only see digital account activity and communications associated with their EcoAddress. The EcoAddress remains the consumer’s permanent identity within the EcoPortal.

Final Developer Rule

EcoPortal Access is responsible for creating the consumer’s EcoAddress and granting secure access to the EcoPortal. No consumer may proceed to EcoPortal Setup until EcoAddress creation, EcoAddress verification, and OTP verification have been successfully completed.
